We won't go into the very long story about our relationship with Gerry and his amazing wood collection from the Amazon. The products are all made from tropical woods from the Peruvian Amazon Managed forests. He works with the Yanesha Ethnic Group in the Central Peruvian Amazon. The wood species are not known commercially, which is a good thing because this adds value to the forests and makes them more sustainable. Through his work, the Yanesha earn 60 times more trees which allows them to have an economic development without destroying their forests. The products are made with no electricity through woodworking ancestral techniques. PATS, our non profit organization has introduced and trained our artisans. PATS means earth in the Yanesha dialect.
